We are half way through February and it's already Valentines day!! I've spent the better half of this month making small adjustments to my blog along with work and my other projects. I am beyond excited to intentionally make today a lazy day. Now don't get me wrong I do love Valentines day but I would much rather make it a chill day than a stressful one. A lot of men and women stress over this day, what flowers to buy, which gift to purchase, where to eat, do we need a reservations and so on. My boyfriend is the sweetest and smartest boy, he surprised me at work yesterday with a bouquet of beautiful lilies. Yes lilies, I love that he didn't do roses and I love that he did it the day before the "big day". I woke up to find he also bought me the best yoga mat ever in Mint I might add ;) a delicious smellng Sea Blossom candle, and coconut mouisturizing masks for your face!! Call me crazy or maybe just blessed but I am lucky enough to have someone who makes everyday feel like Valentines day and when it actually is Valentines day it feels like Christmas:) I've compiled a few ideas together for a chill memorable V-day, I hope you enjoy :)
1.) Breakfast instead of dinner or both ~ I personally love breakfast food and what better way to start your morning :)
2.) Afternoon movie, or a marathon at home of your favorite films~ Netflix & Hulu is where it's at.
3.) Take a hike somewhere epic and bring your own lunch ~ I love any excuse to have a picnic :)
4.) Go on a road trip ~ some of the best conversations happen in cars, you might learn something new about your partner .
5.) Coffee shops ~ what's better than coffee and a pastries that says " I love you" ?
6.) Listen to live music ~ Live music feeds the soul.
7.) Bake together ~ my boyfriend and I are always baking sweets... were suckers for sweets & you save $.
8. ) Find a photo booth~ these are the best and make for the perfect sentimental gift for you love.
9.) Check out your local flower shops ~ smelling fresh flowers will brighten anyone's worst day :)
