If you are ever in or around Denver I suggest taking time out of your day to see the amazing botanic gardens. When I was in Denver we decided last minute we wanted to see the park only giving us two hours before they closed when I personally could have spent the whole day there. Give yourself at least an afternoon, I promise it's worth it.
Denver botanic is one of the top five botanic gardens in the nation. This 23 acre park contains a conservatory, several themed gardens and an amphitheater which hosts various concerts in the summer. Did you know this place contains North America's largest collection of plants from cold temperate climates around the world? Oh and it's actually built on a grave site that was recently dug up in 2010 for reconstruction of sprinkler systems upturning a few body's? Yep pretty interesting.
Now compared to most of Denver's museums the botanic garden only costs $12.50 and worth every penny. The plants in this place will blow your mind!!! It is truly a happy place :) Throughout the gardens there are many benches to sit on and reflect life. Seriously a few actually say that. We made it through most of the gardens before the sun started to set but even in the dark this place was magical. If you have a few hours to burn or maybe just love plants this is the place to be. I
walked the whole thing but still feel like there is more to be seen. I will definitely be going back the next time i'm in Denver. June is the best month for plants in full bloom but I also hear this place looks amazing in the winter all lit up. Perfect time to check out their Library :) Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed :)
